Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress 2 (RCPP2) is a collaborative comprised of regional community residents, businesses, nonprofits, educational and faith-based institutions, local governments and community-focused organizations working within the Roanoke-Chowan and Roanoke Valley regions. the primary objective of RCPP2 is to generate opportunities for community revitalization and stimulate a diverse, vibrant and growing local economy.
RCPP2 partners meet quarterly to discuss issues facing the community and its residents and share innovative ideas for how to address those issues. This ongoing and frequent dialogue among stakeholders offers a cohesive and collaborative approach to strengthening communities and prevents duplication of efforts and resources.
Strategic items within the four areas of focus identified by partners:
- Healthcare (PDF) – What is the problem? Why? The changing face of healthcare
- Education (PDF) – What is the problem? Why? Lack of: access, resources, financing, etc.
- Capacity Building (PDF) – To build capacity in northeastern NC through a centralized infrastructure
- Economic Development (PDF) – To improve economic development and growth of the RCPP2 region
All citizens are invited to attend the quarterly RCPP2 meetings. Each meeting begins 10:00 a.m. and, unless otherwise noted, take place at Roanoke Electric Cooperative headquarters offices, located at 518 Hwy 561 in Aulander, North Carolina.
