AULANDER – April 7, 2022 – Roanoke Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce the addition of Mary Beth Lampe to its team as Vice President of Corporate Services. Lampe joined the Roanoke family in Feb. As a member of the executive team, Lampe will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient, people-centered, client-oriented corporate services to ensure the overall effectiveness of the co-op and its family of companies.
In this role, Lampe will provide leadership in formulating and implementing Roanoke’s people-centered strategies aligned with its mission to include human resources, administrative services, and safety and executive sponsorship of strategic initiatives. A major focus for Lampe will be creating mechanisms that nurture the emergence of innovation and creativity in the co-op’s culture and foster a work environment that supports the development of talents, a knowledge-driven workforce, with greater staff productivity.

Lampe joins the Roanoke team following her role as Chief Administrative Officer for a utility in Greenville, SC. In this cross-functional role, she delivered strategic oversight and direction of cross-functional operations across HR, IT, Finance, Customer Services, and Communications. Lampe provided visualization that translated into culture transformation, talent development, expansion, and revitalization of HR from transactional to strategic business partners. Her previous career positions have spanned leadership roles from Human Resources to Administration. Throughout her more than 24-year career as an avid investor of people, she has served in the government, utility, non-profit, entrepreneurial, and international arenas.
Lampe noted that her favorite day at the co-op thus far has been when she traveled to the co-op’s subsidiary office in Rich Square to meet employees and later go into the field with the line technicians.
