Members Making a Difference: Members in Halifax saved from major power outage by Darlington VFD and a member-owner

Members Making a Difference: Roanoke Cooperative would like to thank the Darlington Volunteer Fire Department in Halifax, including Chief Richard Pulley, for saving our triple-circuit pole Friday night. The pole, located beside our Darlington substation, was struck by lightning and caught fire. Big thanks to our member-owner Steve Parks for calling in that the pole was on fire. This vigilance and teamwork saved member-owners in this area from a major power outage. Thanks again to everyone who came together to make a difference!
