Jobe announced as Director of Field Operations for broadband efforts

AULANDER – JULY 13, 2022Roanoke Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce that Danny Jobe has joined its team as the Director of Broadband Field Operations.  Jobe will be responsible for directing and managing the co-op’s broadband subsidiary’s installation and service efforts.

In this role, Jobe will create, implement, and enhance consistent standardized operating practices for Roanoke Connect Holdings, LLC.

“I am very pleased with the efforts we have made to move the needle on our efforts to bring connectivity to our communities,” said Marshall Cherry, the co-op’s President and CEO.  “Bringing Danny onto our team brings additional resources needed to strengthen our installation and field operations efforts to bring everyone one step closer to having broadband service in their homes.”

Jobe is a broadband operations veteran with more than 30 years of experience. Prior to joining the Roanoke Connect team, he was Vice President of Operations for Atlantic Broadband (now known as Breezeline), the eighth largest cable operator in the country, from January, 2018 to late 2022. Danny was responsible for Atlantic Broadband’s field operations in ten states along the east coast from Florida to Maine. Danny is a 2012 inductee into the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Hall of Fame, and was awarded the 2017 Lyn Simpson Grassroots Spirit Award from the American Cable Association for continuous dedication to the ACA grassroots mission of political activism and commitment to independent cable broadband operators.
