Co-op opens 2022 applications for local educators
Roanoke Electric Co-op opened applications for the Bright Ideas Education Grant program on Apr. 1.
Teachers with ideas for innovative classroom projects are encouraged to apply online at ncbrightideas.com.
“Our mission with this program is to continue to support our local educators as they seek innovative ways to engage their students,” said Patrice Jordan, the co-op’s coordinator of community relations and engagement. “We've seen so much creativity in the classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I look forward to this year’s submissions.”
Applicants can request the grant funding individually or as a team. Grants are available for projects across all grade levels and subject areas.
Applications will be accepted until Sept. 15. Educators who submit their applications by Aug. 15 will be entered into a drawing to receive a $100 Visa gift card and a door prize as an added incentive to apply early.
