Chester Deloatch of Rich Square has been a member of the Roanoke Electric Co-op Board of Directors since 2001.
During his professional career, he worked as an insurance agent at North Carolina Mutual and as a real estate broker. He retired from the United Parcel Service.
In addition to his role at the co-op, Deloatch also serves on the boards of the Choanoke Area Development Association (CADA); East Carolina Behavior Health; Four Rivers; and Ag Leadership of Northampton County. He also serves as a Northampton County commissioner.
As for the future, Deloatch said he is hopeful that the co-op will stay true to its mission of keeping electricity affordable. “My vision for Roanoke Electric is for it to always strive to keep prices as low as possible for its member-owners.”
