Smart Energy Savings
How to save on your electric bill the smart way?
Smart Energy Savings programs use internet technology-supported energy monitoring and management devices and capabilities, commonly known as "smart" tools, designed to save money on member-owners' electric bills. These smart tool programs achieve cost-savings in a variety of ways, such as helping member-owners track and manage their own energy use and automatically decreasing use during peak demand times without affecting comfort levels. Lowering power use during peak demand times saves the Co-op money by keeping the overall cost of electricity down, and empowering member-owners to decrease energy consumption helps lower monthly electric bills.
The Co-op offers member-owners a variety of Smart Energy Savings options show here.

|Upgrade to $ave allows member-owners to finance cost-effective, energy-efficient home improvements at no upfront cost to them. All member-owners are eligible to participate in this program that begins with a free to energy assessment, simply as a benefit of co-op membership. The co-op will send and pay for a certified energy assessor coming to the participant's home and conduct a full energy assessment to determine the efficiency upgrades that will result in the most cost-savings on the participant's monthly power bills. The co-op will then schedule a follow-up appointment to send a weatherization crew back to the participant's home to install the energy efficiency upgrades -- also at no upfront cost to the participant. The co-op covers the investment costs of the upgrades so the member-owner will not be charged a fee nor incur any loan debt.|
