After a lot of thoughtful consideration, Roanoke Electric Cooperative and the Board of Directors have decided to hold its Annual Member-Owner Celebrations virtually this year on August 28 due to Covid-19 safety concerns.
We will miss the in person interaction we have with our member-owners and hope to have some live regional meetings later this spring. With this new format of our Annual Meeting, member-owners will be able to join via video conference or by telephone.
Prior to the meeting, member-owners can vote by mail or online, beginning on July 23. The last day to submit your ballot is Aug. 25, 2021.
The co-op is planning to send out paper ballots and will also be launching a new dedicated website, where you can cast your vote online. An independent firm specializing in cooperative elections will count all the ballots and certify the election results.
Member-owners will also be able to come to the Ahoskie or Rich Square office to register for the virtual meeting and pick up a gift Aug. 23-27. You MUST be a member-owner to register and pick up the gift.
A grand prize drawing of $500 is one of the many highlights for participants of this year’s virtual meeting. Other door prizes will also be raffled off during the virtual event. You MUST be present to win!
