Water Heater Rebate Program
The purpose of the Water Heater Rebate program is to promote the use of energy efficient applicances in the residences of Roanoke Electric members. Rebates are paid for the purchase and installation of a new electric water heater with least a 30-gallon tank. Rebate amounts are as follows:
- Replacement of a new 30-gallon water heater $75.00
- Installation of a new 30-gallon water heater in a new home $150.00

Fridge & Freezer Farewell Program
Let us pick up your old refrigerator or freezer and we will give you $50!
The purpose of this program is to promote the removal of operational, residential second refrigerators and freezers in and to ensure that these appliances are properly dismantled, recycled and retired.
You must meet the following criteria:

Must be a Roanoke Electric Cooperative member

Must own the refrigerator or freezer

Must be a secondary appliance in the home

Must be working and cooling
-
Must be 10-30 cubic feet

Must have a valid account number
-
Appliance must be picked up from the residential address listed on the account

Must be empty
-
Limit of two appliances recycled per custormer, per program year
Manufactured Housing Rebate Program
Roanoke Electric is partnering with the North Carolina State Energy office to offer the NC Plus Program. This program offers $1500 rebates for the purchase of manufactured home that meets the ENERGY STAR® label requirements. The purchase date must be between June 13, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
