Operation Roundup

This is a community service grant program developed to assist non-profit orgnaizations in our service area. This program raises funds by rounding up the co-op members' electric bills to the next highest even dollar with the added cents going to the program.   Click here for more information. 

Educational Programs

Roanoke Electric Cooperative employees has employees Programs on electrical safety, energy conservation, and other topics are presented to schools and other civic organizations.

Cooperative Leadership Camp at White Lake, N.C.

 This fun and exciting leadership conference and camp provide opportunities for local cooperative youth to learn more about the cooperative form of business and its principles. It is held each year at the FFA Camp in White Lake, North Carolina.

Roanoke Electric Cooperative Scholarship

The cooperative grants a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving youth in its service area to further his/her education beyond high school. The student must be enrolled in an accredited four-year institution.  Click here for more information. 

Rural Electric Youth Tour

This outing provides opportunities for local cooperative youth to learn more about rural electrification and the inner workings of the federal government. It is a weeklong all expense paid trip to the nation's capital.  Click here for more information. 

Bright Ideas Grant Program

This is a program that helps all area teaching personnel produce a highly educated and trained workforce by offering endowments to initiatives introduced by teachers. Click here for more information. 

Fleet Watch

The cooperative participates in this NC Crime Control and Safety endorsed program. The cooperative's vehicles can provide an effective means of communication between Citizens and employees, and local law enforcement in the fight against crime.
