Roanoke Electric Cooperative and North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation are proud to offer the Touchstone Energy Kellie Harper Women's Basketball Camp & Roy Williams Basketball Camp Scholarship program. Deadline to apply for either camp is March 30, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

Each  year, Touchstone Energy Sports Camps Scholarships are offered to the Kellie Harper Women's Basketball Camp for female students in 6-8th grades and to the Roy Williams Basketball Camp for male students in 6-8th grades. The scholarships send deserving young women to the Kellie Harper Women's Basketball Camp at North Carolina State University and deserving young men to the Roy Williams Basketball Camp at the University of North Caroina at Chapel Hill.

Applicants will be judged on their academics, extra-curricular activities and an essay that must accompany the application. The application deadline for 2011 has passed. 2012 camp dates TBA.

Touchstone Energy Basketball Camp Scholarship winners will learn fundamental basketball skills, teamwork and friendship. Camp graduates learn new skills that will enable them to excel on and off the basketball court. You'll also get a chance to meet other talented players and even get to pose with the COACH for a picture that you can take home to show off to your friends. The Touchstone Energy Basketball Camp Scholarship program is an expression of the electric cooperatives' historic commitment to the community on behalf of its 2.4 million North Carolina consumers.
