In an ongoing series of community forums, Roanoke Electric Cooperative officials continue to address concerns about electricity costs and shed light on the co-op’s cost-saving initiatives and programs.
The Roanoke Center
The Roanoke Center offers one-stop assistance to individuals and small businesses by providing a variety of information and guidance. The Center is totally grassroots based and it effectively serves to maximize the benefits of projects and activities that make the region a better place to live and work.

Roanoke Electric, along with the eight other co-ops that form the Electric Cooperatives of Eastern North Carolina, co-sponsored Gates County’s 4th annual Wounded Warrior Turkey Hunt.
Roanoke Electric Cooperative was recently recognized for excellence during the annual meeting of North Carolina’s 26 electric cooperatives in April in many of the categories for outstanding achievement in the political action campaigns (PACs) supported by cooperative employees and members across the state.
